Mo Kolours
Half Mauritian, half English, half percussionist, half producer, Mo Kolours creates music that’s just as multifaceted as the man himself. How do you label an artist who is just as comfortable making psychedelic dub step and electronic Afro-hip-hop? The answer is you don’t. You just sit back and marvel as Mo Kolours flavors his latest dubstep classic with African rhythms and then wraps his creation in English electronica.

Video: Mo Kolours ‘Banana Wine’
Mauritian experimental producer Mo Kolours drops a grainy, found-footage video for “Banana Wine”. The spliced vintage visuals span 1920s-50s scenes of ballroom dances, clips of “tribal natives”, and an aptly chosen images of Carmen Miranda — the famed Brazilian samba singer that was pinholed as a banana queen by 30s American media. Watch the music video above and buy/stream Mo Kolours’ EP2: Banana Wine out now.
