When last we heard from SF producer Kush Arora he was building bridges between Angola and Jamaica on his kuduro-dancehall collab with Jahdan Blakkamoore. Kush’s electronic dancehall experiment continues this time around with riddim-maker and longtime collaborator MC ZULU. Twisted and chopped into full moon dancefloor candy, “Witch Doctor” blends elements of azonto and kuduro into a sinister banger. Listen to the full EP and watch a live production video below. The track’s acapella breakdown and a “Wine and Bend” version featuring ESCORT‘s Dave Sharma on percussion are up for free download. Witch Doctor is out now via Kush Arora Productions. Be on the look-out for more in the KAP series combining dancehall vocalists with electronic production.
