Video: This Is What the Los Angeles Edition of African Chop House Looked Like

Breaking bread and being in community is exactly what was needed during All Star Weekend.

African Chop House, the New York-based event that gathers African millennial movers and shakers to eat their fill, made its way to Los Angeles during this year's NBA All Star Weekend.

In partnership with OkayAfrica and Martell, Luol Deng of the Los Angeles Lakers opened up his beautiful home for it to be transformed into a chop house—a gathering place for the community to grab a meal, a drink and to make lifelong connections.

"We just wanted to bring that all together and just have a great time," Pops Mensah-Bonsu, retired NBA player, says in the recap video below.
