On his recent Pardon The Interruption (Africa Time) mixtape, the Brooklyn-born transplant spits over a laundry list of U.S. hip-hop notables from the past year — there's Ye's "All of the Lights," Kreayshawn's polarizing "Gucci Gucci," and Chris Brown's hypnotic Diplo beat "Loot At Me Now." There's been numerous delays to Whosane's long-time coming Spirit & Soul LP, but he defends himself off the bat here: "I'm on Africa time, so you know I'm running late!"
