Watch JR, Okmalumkoolkat & Spoek Mathambo In The 'Bob Mabena' Video

South African rappers JR, Okmalumkoolkat and Spoek Mathambo star in the 'Bob Mabena' video shot in Joburg and directed by Yanga Ntshakaza.

JHB rap titans Motswako vet JR, reigning king of collaboration Spoek Mathambo and Affine Records' most recent signee Okmalumkoolkat came together back in May to salute South African radio icon Bob Mabena on his 25th year in the industry. A remix to an earlier track that JR had done with BrandNuAfrika, the "JRMALUMSPOEK" carnation of "Bob Mabena" (aka "B.O.B.") was released as a single on JR's Feel Good Music on May 30th. The heavy-hitting tribute now has a sharp-looking video that plays like a double nod to Mabena as well as Johannesburg. Yanga Ntshakaza, who was also behind AKA's "Kontrol" video, directs the partially slo-mo visuals. Watch the video below and look out for a sly cameo from Mabena at the 2:50 mark.

Aisha Asamany, a corporate management consultant for high-profile UK financial institutions turned self-taught luxury jewelry designer was one of many who heeded the call, trading in the corporate life for a spiritual and an entrepreneurial journey – one of joy, appreciation, and representation in her fatherland.
