Débruit's 'African Coldwave' Album 'Outside The Line'
French producer Débruit blends West African rhythms with 80s New York in his latest full-length album 'Outside The Line.'

French producer Xavier Thomas aka Débruit looks to explore the sonic intersection of polyrhythmic West African percussion, synthesizers and drum machines in his third full-length album Outside The Line. "I wanted to make some cold sounding African music, from an imaginary place where ancient West Africa cohabits with 80s New York," the producer explains on his website. The result is eleven striking tracks in a style described as 'African coldwave,' a continuation of Débruit's experiments in blending highlife and afrobeat samples with electronic sounds from his "Nigeria What?" and From The Horizon days. Stream and purchase Débruit latest album Outside The Line, out via his new imprint ICI, below.
