    Gambian MPs Keep FGM Ban in Place

    A week before the final vote on the attempted repeal, most of the lawmakers voted against each of the new clauses, which led to the end of the process.

    Gambia is Moving Closer to Repealing a Ban on Female Genital Mutilation

    The bill to roll back the ban on female genital mutilation was introduced earlier this month and it’s being supported by influential Islamic clerics in the majority Muslim country.
