The Side Eye: Columbus Day


Why is Columbus Day still a federal holiday? Instead of 'celebrating' this dude's bullshit discovery of the Americas, a better use of this day would be to remember the "Indians" that knew the land long before Columbus and friends.

With all of these occupying movements, keep in mind the indigenous people who were some of the first to be occupied... and more importantly, what their land has been reduced to now.
