Vieux Farka Touré Live From An Oregon Forest

Watch a never-before-seen clip of Vieux Farka Toure performing from an Oregon forest at the Pickathon Festival.

Here's some never-before-seen footage of Vieux Farka Touré showcasing his alluring Malian guitar riffs from the Woods Stage at Oregon's Pickathon Festival last year. Vieux's vocals and guitar resonate hugely as he commands the stage throughout this 10-minute "Gi Ku Chi Fo"  jam, even getting the entire crowd to chant along around the 6-minute mark. Pickathon 2014 is set to go down at Pendarvis Farm in Happy Valley, OR on Aug. 1-3. The festival, who's hosted the likes of Vieux and Bombino in the past, will start unveiling its lineup tomorrow over at their website.
