Captain Planet, known for ill remixes and whose EP, Speakin’ Nuyorican, made waves in 2009 being featured on shows like CSI: NY and Entourage, has released an awesome new EP, The Ningané. This collection features celebrated Congolese house vocalist, Fredy Massamba. It’s sure to set dance floors on fire with a hard breakbeat sound, fusing horn filled afrobeat with house music, sprinkled with a hint of Latin flavor. All of this creates a funky afro-disco sound that is uniquely Captain Planet. We can’t wait until he drops his first full-length album, Cookin’ Gumbo, this September.
