Audio: Janka Nabay & The Bubu Gang 'Feba'

The bubu king Janka Nabay and his backing gang are set to release their debut full-length on David Byrne's "world music imprint" Luaka Bop. "Feba," the album's lead single, sees Janka take a noteworthy foray into indie-pop territory (that high-end synth!) whilst still retaining Sierra Leonean bubu music's complex percussion and joint vocals. Shouldn't come as much of a surpirse that Janka's backing band is composed of former members of Gang Gang Dance, Zs, and Skeletons. Download "Feba" below and look out for En Yay Sah out in August.
