After putting out one of our top LPs of 2014 and linking up in the studio (and out-and-about in Soweto) late last year with longtime Okayplayer Talib Kweli, Mafikeng rap titan Cassper Nyovest joined forces with another U.S.-based artist last month– Philly's own DJ Drama. "Ghetto," a booming, radio-friendly single produced by the Eastern Cape's Anatii, follows the story of Nyovest taking a love interest to his part of town over swirling synthesizers and an auto-tuned refrain. Shot in Joburg's Alexandra township, the video, which dropped today, sees the Maftown rapper in especially giddy spirits as he shows Swazi-born actress Amanda du-Pont around his hood with a Zulu cap-donning Drama and Anatii (in a Yankees cap). The new clip comes on the heels of a busy February for Nvovest, in which he featured on a single from DJ Speedsta and shared a pair of his own tracks (the acoustic "Hey There" and the Bone Thugs-influenced "Strive").
