Nollywood actress, producer and motivational speaker Uduak Akrah has died, The Guardian Nigeriareports.

Her passing was a result of injuries she sustained after a bad bathroom slip two years ago. Akrah was pronounced dead at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital.

The Guardian adds that Charles Novia, Nollywood filmmaker, confirmed the news. "I just heard from someone close to her and her family in Abuja," he says. "She suffered complications in the past few months from a nasty fall in the bathroom."

Akrah began acting in 1999 after graduating in creative arts from the University of Lagos. She's been featured in stage plays, TV series and films includingEmotional Crack, Bafana Bafana, and Missing Angel 2.

She also kept up a YouTube channel full of motivational content and her most recent short film that she produced and starred in, Too Late.
