The Ndlovu Youth Choir Wins the Hollywood Music in Media Award

South Africa's favorite choir continues on its winning streak.

The Ndlovu Youth Choir continues to fly the South African flag high. Recently, the choir was awarded the Hollywood Music in Media Award in the category of "Best Independent Music Video" alongside Grammy award-winning South African flautist, Wouter Kellerman, for their Zulu rendition of Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You".

It's been two months since South Africa's Ndlovu Youth Choir reached the finals of America's Got Talent (AGT). Prior to that, their unique renditions of popular songs such as Toto's 1982 hit song "Africa" and Vicky Sampson's "African Dream", captured the hearts of everyone watching the show. In fact, after they returned home after the finals, the choir was reportedly offered a music deal by AGT judge, Simon Cowell. Since then, the choir has been in the spotlight considerably and even performed for the Springboks as they arrived from the Rugby World Cup in Japan as well as the Africa Fashion International Jo'burg Fashion Week.

The Hollywood Music in Media Awards show was held on November 20th and according to TimesLIVE, "celebrated a decade of recognizing the most exceptional music artists in all visual media from around the globe, including film, TV, video games, trailers, commercial advertisements, documentaries and special programs."

Both the choir and Kellerman took to social media to announce the exciting news:
