It's Oscars night and Tiffany Haddish stole the show at the red carpet in our books.

The Eritrean-American comedian and Girls Trip star used attending the star-studded event as a great opportunity to honor her late Eritrean father, who, like any other proud parent, knew she would end up where she is tonight.

"My father is from Eritrea and he passed away last year—and he said one say I would end up here; and if I ever end up at the Oscars to honor my people, so I'm honoring my fellow Eritreans."

Haddish is donning a zuria, an embroidered dress worn by women in Eritrea and Ethiopia, topped with a kaba—a cape you'll see a habesha bride and groom wear at weddings.

So regal!

With her ululation and eskista, it's heartwarming to see her be so excited to be present at the Oscars, as well as put one on for her people.
