Watch Seye's Animated 'Bayonet' Video

Nigerian/Kenyan musician Seye releases a new track "Bayonet" with an accompanying animated video.

Nigerian/Kenyan electro-fusion artist Seye has been busy adding his eclectic sensibilities to a range of different projects. He's been on tour with Damon Albarn this summer as the guitarist in Albarn's new live band The Heavy Seas. Not to mention last month we premiered "Tough Bond Theme," his most recent team effort with The Very Best. The song came from the soundtrack that the frequent collaborators created for the Kenyan glue huffing documentary Tough Bond. Now the multi-instrumentalist is back with "Bayonet," a breezy, spirit-lifting tune. Kicking off with tight harmonized background vocals that jump in and out throughout the track, "Bayonet" features a bouncy bass line, crisp drums and some peppy keyboard action that are all tied together with buttery-smooth vocals coming in from Seye. British graphic designer Christian Tailor adds his artistic talents to the project, creating accompanying visuals which play like a neon-filtered lyric video whose animated simplicity emphasizes the uplifting message of the track. Watch the video for Seye's rhythmically-soothing "Bayonet" below.

South Sudanese Top Model Aweng Ade Chuol & Her Wife Embrace On Cover of Elle UK

If the love doesn't inspire you to push boundaries and move fearlessly, we don't want it!

South Sudanese Top Model Aweng Ade Chuol and her wife Alexus Ade-Chuol braved the seemingly endless sea of criticism against African LGBTQ+ communities by posing on Elle UK's January 2021 issue together.

The newlyweds are the picture of love and happiness as they pose, kissing, for the magazine's new year release.

In an interview with Yahoo Life! , Elle UK's Editor-In-Chief Farrah Storr said of the groundbreaking cover, "Glossy magazines have traditionally put heterosexual couples on covers, but rarely have I seen same-sex couples embraced and celebrated in the same way. At Elle, we wanted simply to show a young couple in love at the end of a very tough year, and Aweng and Lexy seemed like the most natural fit in the world."
