The South African-born actress has produced the reality show for Netflix.
South African-born Hollywood actress, Charlize Theron, has come a long way from her Academy Award-winning role in the 2003 film Monster. In 2017, she joined the cast of the eighth installment of the Fast & Furious franchise as a cyberterrorist known as Cypher, who blackmails Dominic Teretto (Vin Diesel) into betraying the rest of the crew. According to Deadline, Theron, along with Helen Mirren, will be returning to the big screen once again for Fast & Furious 9 which will be released next year in May.
More recently, however, Theron has produced a reality television show that seems to be inspired by her role in the blockbuster street racing film. Hyperdrive will see race drivers from all over the world competing with one another on one of the most difficult obstacle courses ever built in an abandoned industrial complex.
