Everyone's favorite fashion forward iconoclast and artist Solange Knowles is back to wow us with, not one, but two sneaker collaborations with Puma. The Wild Wonder and Behind The Bazaar sneaker collections, designed by sisters Lizzie and Darlene Okpo of William Okpo, Gerlan Marcel of Gerlan Jeans and photographer and designer Hisham Bharoocha, remixes two of Puma's classic sneaker models: the 'Heritage Suede Classic Wn's' and the 'Trinomic XT2+.' Green and blue neons mixed in with gold and zebra print give the Wild Wonder sneaks a punch of color for the fashion risk taker. While the blush tone sneakers etched with black lines give the Puma classics in Behind The Bazzar a feminine edge. The collection is sold over at Opening Ceremony, Urban Outfitters and a few other stores. Paul Jung shot the lookbooks for both collections.
After taking the reigns last year as Puma's art director and creative consultant, Knowles curated her first line, the Girls Of Blaze Disc Collection, that were co-designed by William Okpo, Marcel and Bharoocha. “I really wanted to make a collection that spoke to the girl like me, that may not historically be a sneaker chick, but loves style and has fun with fashion,” she metioned last year to InStyle about the first collab. We hope Solange will continue to represent for the stylish girls in her creative endeavors.
