Video: The Collaboration 'Urombo'

Throwback video to start things off this week. "Urombo" in shona (the most spoken language in Zimbabwe) means poverty, the kind that traps one into a life of shame and abjection. In this roots-driven jam The Collaboration — a collective of Zimbabwean musicians with Chiwoniso Maraire on vocals — call for a return to an interconnected way of living. The cut is taken from their album Hupenyu Kumusha/Life at Home/Impilo Ekhaya, it's soul stirring stuff.
