South African guitar-wielding duo WarongxOngx on guitar/lead vocals and Wara on guitar/mouth organ/vocals), have steadily built a loyal fan base on the back of their particular blend of homegrown Khayelitsha Blues. Segueing between soulful atmospheric tunes and hollering foot-stomping numbers, the duo always displays a deep sensibility about the issues confronting the post-apartheid South Africa. "Uhambo" (Journey), directed by Bernard Myburgh and Laura Gamse (who featured the two-piece in her 2011 documentary The Creators), is one of their more slow-burning jams.
