Steven Klein's Surrealist City Aliens

'Warrior Stance,' despite the predictable name you'd never imaging what's unleashed in this March editorial from W Magazine. Photographed by Steven Klein and styled by W Magazine's Ghanaian/British Fashion Director Edward Enninful, the editorial lives between the surreal and fantastic, in a drifting universe where the extraordinary fits perfectly alongside the cartoon inspiration for these city aliens. Angolan Maria Borges and South Sudanese Ajak Deng, two of the featured models, make us think of edgy superheroes saving the world.
