Watch DotCom & Cassper Nyovest's 'Izapha' Video + 'Tsholofelo' News

South African rappers DotCom and Cassper Nyovest team up in the 'Izapha' video and Nyovest drops a surprise iTunes release for 'Tsholofelo.'

South African rap's MVP these days, Cassper Nyovest expanded his kingdom far beyond the reaches of his hometown hip-hop scene Mafikeng this year. In a surprise move, Nyovest made his debut LP Tsholofelo downloadable on South Africa's iTunes over the weekend (a "67 hour exclusive early release" intended to coincide with Mandela Day). The album includes the heavy-hitting singles "Phumakim," "Doc Shebeleza," and our Song of the Year "Gusheshe." Though it doesn't officially receive a proper physical release until July 31st, the album quickly skyrocketed to the number one spot on iTunes in SA (for all genres).

Amidst all the Tsholofelo frenzy, King Nyovest sneakily came through with a new video over the weekend. This time around he plays the assist with DotCom at the helm on their Durban kwaito-infused rap anthem "Izapha," which first surfaced as a single back in October. Directed by Kyle White, the street party scened video stars a not-so-subtle panda bear alongside Nyovest and DotCom. Watch it below and expect Nyovest's domination to keep on as his debut officially hits the stands at the end of the month.
