A few months after taking home her fourth "Best Female Vocal Performance" prize at the 2014 Ghana Music Awards, Ghanaian singer/songwriter Efya came through last week with a new video for "Life," her jazzy-chorded, rock-inspired single off her forthcoming debut album, Love Genesis. A passionate ode to music in which Efya recounts her journey thus far, the autobiographical piece from Ghanaian music video director Sonny Addo ("The Getaway," "Nowhere To Run") intercuts shots of the Accra-based neo-soulstress sitting in an empty movie theater watching footage from past concerts. "Life," produced by Possi Gee and Nigerian Three Wise Men rapper Ikon, is one of Efya's most engaging performances yet, and its video is a powerful show of the song's anthemic nature. Watch it below.
