Ethiopian Label FOMI's Colorful Shoes & Clutches

Ethiopian label FOMI's colorful shoes and clutches are now available to purchase online.

Back in April we took a look at the Spring/Summer 14 luxury handbag and accessories collection from FOMI, a label founded by Ethiopian PR executive-turned-designer Afomia Tesfaye in 2011. In addition to expanding to footwear this year, FOMI recently launched an online store for its ethically-produced Ethiopian-made shoes, handbags and accessories. "Afomia’s motivation," a press release explained, "has become to show the world that it is possible for fashion companies to ethically produce luxury goods in Africa, without compromising on quality and craftsmanship." To commemorate the virtual shop, the label has put out new styles of handbags and shoes (including a colorful line of Eshi Oxfords), as well as their "I Want To Go To Africa" ("Je Jeux Aller En Afrique") tee, which Lauryn Hill has been spotted in.
