A recent visit to an eclectic vintage shop in London inspired Ghanaian singer Jojo Abot to channel the golden hues of fall in a photoshoot. Somali photographer Amaal Said and Nigerian vintage collector Jeff Ihenacho, the owner of the shop One Of A Kind, joined forces with Abot to create a series of stunning visuals set on the iconic Portobello Road.

As Abot tells Okayafrica, the mix and match of classic pieces from bygone eras and contemporary trends offers insight into the sounds of her upcoming sophomore EP, which she’s currently recording in London. “In some ways you get a hint of the flavors to expect on the new project as well the first one, a little bit of funk, afrobeat, jazz, soul and that ewe groove,” she says.

The EP is the follow-up to Abot’s debut release, Fyfya Woto, a conceptual project that tells the forbidden love story of a young Anlo woman.
