Selly Raby is the imaginative designer behind Senegalese clothing label Selly Raby Kane. Founded in 2008, SRK is a fantastical confluence of art and fashion in Dakar. After conceiving the pop art-infused Alien Cartoon capsule collection last year, the brand returns this season with a whimsical fall/winter line entitled Dakar City Of Birds. According to a press release, "This winter, Selly Raby Kane imagines an eclectic wardrobe where birds and sea creatures, wool and basin, melt to create an androgynous, playful, colorful and world inspired wardrobe." The collection features a series of colorful kimonos embellished with classic quilted wax prints and sea shrimp, seahorse, fish and parrot designs. The accompanying sweaters are patched in a Senegalese bayefall style.
