Yasiin Bey Says "Never Stop Pursuing Freedom" On New Song, 'Hymn'

Yasiin Bey (fka Mos Def) and Ferrari Sheppard continue their releases as Dec. 99th with their new drop "Hymn," a bass-lead excursion into dark rhymes about "what death can't kill: life."
Bey and journalist/artist Sheppard have been releasing a steady stream of collaborations as Dec. 99th—including "N.A.W.,""Tall Sleeves," and "Local Time"—which Yasiin has been recording from a studio in Cape Town and may or may not be part of his final album.
Back in January, Bey was arrested at Cape Town International Airport after he attempted to leave South Africa using a World Passport.
"Hymn" was released with the following statement from Bey, “Condolences to the families of the slain. Never stop pursuing freedom.”
