Watch Zambian Hip-Hop Group Zone Fam's 'Two Things' Video

Watch Zambian hip-hop group Zone Fam's new video for "Two Things" off their forthcoming sophomore album 'Barcode.'

Zone Fam is the four-man Zambian hip-hop group that took away "Most Gifted Group" at last year's Channel O African Music Awards. Their music, they say in their bio, is a blend of U.S. rap (specifically citing Jay Z, Nas and Ludacris), Zed beats, hip-hop and Afro-pop. The emcee quartet– made up of Thugga, Yung Verbal, Dope G and Jay Rox– released a new video this week for “Two Things," the second single off their forthcoming sophomore album Barcode. The song comes six months after the crew delivered on the record's lead, "Loving You"– a track highlighting their take on love while harkening back to Zambia’s zamrock era.

Enlisting their main mavin producer Shom-C this time around, the crew express the camaraderie felt between them and a massive fan base. Produced by Tommy Banda for MT Productionz, the video features Zone Fam in and around their hometown of Lusaka. Almost out of a thriller drag racing movie, the video opens up with a car spinning donuts while shots of women pose perched on motorcycles. Clad in all black everything, save for the thick gold chains across their neck, the emcee quartet lay down English and Nyanja bars over a video game bit sample and stomping beats. We can only hope to hear more witty wordplay and bangers off Barcode ahead of its release in December. In the meantime watch the footage to Zone Fam’s "Two Things" below. The group performs later this month at Malawi music festival Lake Of Stars alongside Mafikizolo, John Wizards, Christian Tiger School, Reason, and more.
