Audio: LIRA Debuts With Self-Titled EP (Full Stream Inside!)

Amazing South African songstress LIRA hits the U.S. with a splash today with her self-titled EP, LIRA - streaming right here, below. As usual, Okayplayer's Eddie "STATS" said it best:

As trumpeted, after a whirlwind tour of North America, Afro-soul diva LIRA drops her self-titled EP today. We could go on about how fly she is (shit, you ain’t blind) or how many nominations, awards, platinum records and magazine covers she has racked up in her native South Africa but the internet only has so much ink in it (a lot, she has racked up a lot of accolades). Maybe better if you stream the whole damn EP below and feel the silk yourself. Stream below, purchase here and stay tuned for the full-length Feel Good LP which is slated for January 31st.

Burna Boy, Tinariwen, Michael Kiwanuka & More Nominated For 2021 Grammy Awards

The Nigerian star and Tuareg band are nominated in the newly named Best Global Music Album category.

The nominations for the 2021 Grammy Awards are in.

The awards show, which will be hosted by Trevor Noah, will see some of the world's biggest artists up for categories like Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best New Artist.

In that new Best Global Music Category, Nigerian afro-fusion star Burna Boy is nominated alongside Tuareg desert rock group Tinariwen, NYC afrobeat outfit Antibalas, Brazilian-American Bebel Gilberto and British-Indian sitar player Anoushka Shankar.
