Al-Souq Al-Sawdaa (The Black Market, 1945)

In a Cairo neighborhood during WWII, Sayed tries earning some extra money by hiding merchandise to sell in the black market. His son-in-law Hamed (Emad Hamdy) discovers these hidden stores but thinks twice before calling the authorities. Soon, merchants across the neighborhood gather to put an end to Sayed’s monopoly.
