Rudda kalbi (Bring Back My Heart Again, 1958)

Before the 1952 revolution, Egypt was still a kingdom. In Rudda kalbi, Al-Rayes gardener works at the palace of the royal family without knowing her son Ali (Shukri Sarhan) has been in love with princess Indjy since childhood. But when Indjy’s brother discovers their romance, Al-Rayes is expelled from his job and Indjy agrees to a royal marriage to protect Ali from her brother. Years later, after the 1952 revolution, Egypt became a republic, and Ali was heading a Committee for the confiscation of the royal family’s property. He returns to the palace and reunites with Indjy, and their love lives on.
