Comedian W. Kamau Bell Joins Anthony Bourdain on a Kenyan Adventure In the Final Season of 'Parts Unknown'
Watch an emotional W. Kamau Bell look back on his life changing experience in the latest trailer.
The news of Anthony Bourdain's untimely death in June was a shock to us all.
As we reflect on the impact his work as a chef and storyteller has had in conversations surrounding food, travel and the human connection, we'll soon get to see the last few times Bourdain was able to do what he loved.
The latest trailer for the final season of CNN's Parts Unknown dropped over the weekend, which teases the only episode with Bourdain's narration—his trip to Kenya with comedian, author and host of CNN's United Shades of America W. Kamau Bell, Indie Wire reports.
"I really felt like a passenger and just wanted to be present for it," Bell says in the trailer. "Everybody who had dreams of traveling with Tony—it's exactly as cool as you think it is."
Bell joins Bourdain for an adventure through the "technicolor" of Nairobi, for a safari and more unforgettable experiences that the comedian won't take for granted.
"I feel a tremendous responsibility to learn the lesson that I learned when I was with him, to deepen the work that I'm doing, and to prove him right to want me to be on an episode of Parts Unknown," Bell reflects.
The 12th and final six-episode season of Parts Unknown premieres on Sunday, September 23. The show is up for four Emmys, with Bourdain winning a posthumous award for Outstanding Writing for a Nonfiction Program.
