Elsewhere is a new exhibition in Lagos that explores contemporary notions of otherness in real and imagined spaces, including the afterlife. The eight African and European artists featured in the show use their work to highlight the crossroads of history, memory and imagination through painting, photography, sculpture, and collage.

The group exhibition is presented by Art Twenty One, an emerging Lagos-based contemporary art space that seeks to contribute to and solidify the city's art scene. Elsewhere features work by Ghanaian fantasy coffin artists Paa Joe and Jacob Tetteh-Ashong, Nigerian visual artists Demola Ogunajo, Joseph Eze and Abraham Oghobase, Swiss-Guinean photographer Namsa Leuba, French painter Vincent Michea and Swiss-Danish collaborative sculptors Yarisal and Kublitz.

Elsewhere is on display at Art Twenty One through September 29th.
