Suriname/Dutch DJ Los Carlos takes the acapella from DJ Djeff & Maskarado's massive club batida "Elegom Bounsa" and injects it with an almost exclusively percussion-based new school kuduro beat. In a sit down with Akwaaba, Los Carlos spoke about his fascination with the Angolan genre: "kuduro...inspires me a lot. I like the purity of the African style music. My parents used to listen to Soca music when I was growing up. Because of my Suriname roots, rythmic music has always been a special thing in my life."
