Seun Says No To Burna Boy's Fela Tribute!

Burna Boyclosed out Felabration at the New Afrika Shrine. According to him, he wanted to pay tribute to Fela Kutiand stripped down his pants during the performance. Seun Kuti responded on his BBM: “Nna na wa o. I am bald for Christ sake and Fela never wore pants on stage. Tell Burna Boy that!!" meaning Fela never wore underpants on stage, rather only donned the look while at his home.This was a bit too intense and out of subject for us to be a good tribute. Plus, the sight of Burna Boy rubbing up on female dancers in his underwear is not needed at Felabration.

Fashion For Peace

The Festival of African Fashion and Arts (FAFA) will be back November 2-3 to bring audiences Fashion For Peace in Nairobi, Kenya. FAFA founder Ann Mc Creath stated, "Fashion for Peace was born with the belief that positive change can come when we encourage the positive and the inspiring; working together as different cultures.” This great initiative will feature many international and local designers including: Anna Adero, Aryam, Deepa Dosaja, Galina Tatarinova, Jamil Walji, John Kaveke, Kooroo, Le Collane Di Betta, Niku Singh, Shenu Hooda, Waithera Kibuchi, Ami Shah, Ankara Vintage, Annabelle Thom, Azra Walji, KikoRomeo, Kikoti, Muna Yemane, Riri Jewelry, Wambui Kibue and Manciny Mwigi. On Sunday, there will also be activities for children and teenagers, including a clothing and accessories fair, family peace run, yoga, panic healing, painting, DJing, photography, fashion designing, T-shirt designing, modeling, story writing and blogging amongst others.
