OkayAfrica,The Alchemist Bar, and Bateleur Brewery are excited to present Hand-Forged in Kenya, a new music series focused on showcasing rising talent in Kenya to fans both locally and globally.
The first edition of this series will be on Saturday April 6 at the Alchemist Bar in Nairobi from 6 pm till late.

The event will feature performances from Mankind, RU.BY and Fox Elijah, supported by Mix Master Lenny on the decks. It's curated by Nairobi-based contributor Camille Storm.

Mankind
Mankind is a Kenyan alternative pop duo comprised of singer/songwriter MANE and vocalist/producer the Cloak who are known for their experimental sound. The group recently signed a deal with Pine Creek Records and Sony Music and they do not seem to be slowing down at all. "Take and Go," their newest single, is a funky and sonically-rich step forward for the Kenyan music scene.
RU.BY
RU.BY is the self-proclaimed "sweet and spicy hummingbird" of Nairobi. She writes, sings, and raps her own music with a Jazz and R&B flair. Her inspirations range from Amy Winehouse, Erykah Badu, Lauren Hill, Ravyn Lanae and more. Let her enchant you with her soft and sultry vocals in her latest Hey There EP and its immersive short film that explores themes of love, vulnerability and divinity.
Fox Elijah
Fox Elijah is a Nairobi-based recording artist and music producer. Born to a Ghanaian missionary family, Fox Elijah has travelled across the world ranging from Los Angeles, Canada, and Georgia. His nomadic lifestyle translates directly into his music as he fuses multiple genres with ease.
