Currently on tour in support of their XL Recordings debut album, French-Cuban twin duo Ibeyi (Naomi and Lisa-Kaindé Díaz) stopped by VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live to perform their song "River." Like the recorded version of the track, this live rendition features stuttered beats and airy background effects, though the sisters seem to have a bit more fun with the song as they sing the haunting words with a certain looseness. The duo keep the underlying seriousness of "River" but, with their pure smiles, they give the song a joy and near playfulness. Ibeyi also spoke with Big Morning Buzz Live hosts Nick Lachey and Michelle Buteau in a short interview, explaining the music video behind "River" and how their relationship as sisters plays into their roles as musicians.
