'Kids Say The Darndest Things' To Debut In Nigeria

'Kids Say The Darndest Things' is headed to Nigeria with host Tony Okungbowa.

Back in December 2014, news broke that Kids Say The Darndest Things was headed to Nigeria. Hosted by Tony Okungbowa, the Naija spin-off of the CBS family TV show is set to debut later this month. Speaking at a press conference, the Nigerian-rooted London-born actor and former resident DJ of The Ellen DeGeneres Show explained the program would provide a platform for children across Nigeria to express themselves, and offer parents a better understanding of their kids. "I am excited about the programme because of its unique proposition," he said. "This show is essentially dedicated to encouraging children to express themselves and the wonderful thing about it is that the kids are finally taking the spotlight. We are hoping that at the end of the day, Nigerian parents will take away lessons about their children because as our society is fast evolving, we need to keep pace so that we don’t lose touch of our kids."

The first episode of Nigeria's Kids Say The Darndest Things will air on Sunday, June 21st (which also happens to be Father's Day), at 7PM on AIT (Channel 21) and DSTV Channel 253. Keep up with the show on Facebook and Twitter.
