Delusional White Memoirist Louise Linton Might Be Joining Trump’s Swamp in Washington

Louise Linton's fiancé, Steven Mnuchin, is rumored to be the top pick for Treasury Secretary in U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's cabinet.

Update November 29, 2017, 6:23pm EST: The New York Times reports Steven Mnuchin is expected to be named Donald J. Trump’s Treasury secretary as soon as Wednesday.

Remember Louise Linton? You know, the dangerously misguided, lying white lady who wrote a memoir about her gap year in Zambia that basically doubles as a how-to on how NOT to write about Africa. Well, there’s a chance she might be joining U.S. President-elect Donald Trump in Washington.

You see, Linton’s been keeping busy since her lies were exposed in July. At some point between penning the dumbest, most egregious piece of writing on Africa of the 21st century and this very dark point in American history, the Scottish actress became engaged to her boyfriend, Wall Street werewolf and Trump cronySteven Mnuchin.

The recently engaged Steven Mnuchin and delusional memoirist Louise Linton.

Mnuchin, a former second-generation partner at Goldman Sachs with a taste for financing films, was the top fundraiser and national finance chairman for the Trump campaign.

Now, he’s said to be the top pick for Treasury Secretary in Trump’s cabinet. Bloomberg reports that Mnuchin has been recommended by the President-elect’s transition team to fill the position and that the choice is awaiting Trump’s final decision. According to Bloomberg’s Zach Mider, Mnuchin has been gunning for a seat in the Trump administration and will almost certainly accept the appointment.

As for Linton? You’ll be able to catch her in Warren Beatty’s new movie, the amazingly-titled Rules Don’t Apply.

And should the President-elect be looking for a new memoirist, we know just the person.
