Nigerian soul singer-songwriter Maka comes through with a new Christmas jam.
In "Before Christmas," Maka teams up with producer BigFoot for a holiday song infused with reggae, soul and jazz tones. The track sees Maka singing about meeting "the one" just in time for Christmas.
"I wrote the lyrics thinking about how nice falling in love is especially around the holidays, you're excited but then you're also skeptical because the season is fleeting and so are the flings of holidays," Maka tells OkayAfrica. "So it's a song where I hope I not only to fall in love during the season but for it lto ast forever. I feel everyone will relate to that."
