Carrefour/Meeting Point: The Marrakech Biennale and Beyond is a new exhibit that places Marrakech at the crossroads of artistic and cultural exchange between the region in Northwest Africa known as the Maghreb, Sub-Saharan Africa and Europe. Through poetry, sculpture, sound, installation and video works, Carrefour/Meeting Point invites audiences to examine the subjective nature of their worlds and the ease with which they move between public spaces and private realms. The group show, organized by Moroccan curator Alya Sebti, is now on view at ifa Gallery in Stuttgart, where it will stay through July 5th before moving to ifa Gallery in Berlin from July 16th to September 27th.

Carrefour/Meeting Point features works by past participants of the Marrakech Biennale, including French-Algerian post-conceptual artist Saâdane Afif, French-Moroccan multimedia artist Leila Alaoui, Japanese multimedia artist Megumi Matsubara, Moroccan multidisciplinary artist Yassine Balbzioui, French-Morrocan sculptor Max Boufathal, and German sound artist Clara Meister.
