In the music video for “Ashanti Bitxh,” Mickey Lightfoot strolls around South London’s Brixton carrying a blonde mannequin to stores, parties, and the Tube. The song looks at the issues surrounding female derogatory terms.

The Ghanaian-rooted Londoner, who best describes his sound as (A&B) Avant & Black, has been laying low since his stunning visuals for “L.O.S.T,” working behind-the-scenes on the career of his younger brother Mista Silva.

“Ashanti Bitxh” is the first taste of new music to come from enigmatic artist, and it’s paired with the lighthearted Giaka-directed video about plastic love.

The song “tackles the turbulence of the modern day relationship,” explains Mickey Lightfoot, “in which in one breath you'll proclaim you love your partner and in the same breath, possibly out of complicit ignorance, you verbally abuse them.”
