On Friday, Okayafrica joined forces with 2manysiblingsto present the latest edition of the city’s coolest style and music event. Thrift Social 5 was a special 90s-themed night market edition that featured performances by Just A Band, Shappaman and East African Wave.

Kenyan brother and sister Papa Petit and Velma Rossa launched the Thrift Social event series last year as a platform to promote young creative entrepreneurs while encouraging their peers to give back to the local community. In addition to shopping with some of the flyest vendors in Nairobi, attendees are encouraged to bring clothes and shoes to be donated to the Jacaranda School for the mentally handicapped.
