There’s a deluge of cool events happening across Africa and the diaspora this weekend and OkayAfrica’s weekend guide is where you’ll find them.

BROOKLYN—The KowTeff African Dance Company will host AfroSoulstice 2017 this Saturday, June 24 at the BRIC Ballroom in Brooklyn. The event will feature performances from Wunmi, ADH and more. You can purchase tickets here.

LONDON—Startups for Africa is hosting an "Anti-Pop" for those interested in African food and drinks retail. There will be various events taking place during the conference including, a master class on public relations with Ronke Lawal, panel discussions and more.  Learn more about the event, here.

LONDON—The African Francophone Art, Music and Culture Festival goes down this Saturday, June 24 at St. Mary's Great Hall in London. The event is hosted by Golden Hope, with the mission of "celebrating the diversity of our culture." You can purchase tickets, here.

LONDON—The Trafalgar Square Black History Walk takes place this Sunday, June 25 at Trafalgar Square in London. Participants will be taken on a two hour tour, in which their guide "will expose the links between Africa, India and the Caribbean and explain how history was whitewashed and racism institutionalised." NEW YORK CITY—The Lincoln Center Education presents a music making workshop this Saturday, June 24 at the Casita Maria Center for Arts & Education. There will be a performance by award-winning French-Cameroonian jazz and blues artist Gino Sitson. The event is free, you can register here.
