Ugandans Mourn Untimely Death of Popular Musician Mowzey Radio

The musician passed away this morning, due to injuries sustained in a brawl fight.

One of Uganda's most popular contemporary musicians Mowzey Radio, one half of the Goodlyfe Crew, passed away this morning following a bar fight, reports BBC Africa. He was 33.

The artists, born Moses Ssekibogo, was in the hospital for two weeks receiving treatment for injuries he sustained after a brawl in Entebbe on January 22. Several of his supporters visited the clinic upon hearing the news of his death.

There was an outpouring of public support for the musician's recovery. Uganda's president, Yoweri Museveni, donated $8,300 towards his treatment, but despite reports that Ssekibogo had come out of a coma, his condition ultimately worsened.

It's apparent that the artist touched many. Several fans and fellow musicians are mourning the artists death, sharing heartfelt tributes on social media and offering condolences to his family and fellow group member Weasel.
