It's no secret we love Young Fathers. After crashing onto our radar with two standout mixtapes, the Edinburgh trio hit the new year hard with their proper full-length introduction DEAD. Going into SXSW we knew for a fact that Young Fathers bring passion to their live performances. But no amount of prior knowledge could have prepared us for the mind-fusking ritual-like insanity of a show they put on at the Okayplayer Showcase. In between taking us to other worlds (backed by a full string section), Alloysious, Kayus, and Graham caught up with OkayafricaTV at the Bungalow in Austin to answer some questions we've been dying to know. Where and when did the guys meet? Has Alloysious been back to Liberia? When's the last time Kayus has been to Nigeria? Is there a method to the madness of their videos?
