It's been just about a year since Papa Ghana (aka Daily Paper co-founder and L'Afrique Som Systeme DJ Jefferson Osei) joined us for a special Ghanaian edition of our Electrafrique NYC party. The Amsterdam-based vocalist is currently prepping the release of his debut EP, The Mandingo. In the meantime he's linked with French producers BLKKOUT on "Ghana 2.0," the second single off the duo's forthcoming EP debut, Noir. The group, whose members were both raised by African immigrant parents in what they refer to as the hood of Paris' suburbs, say their sound reflects their hometown's "cosmopolitan feel" with a particular influence from their African roots.
