Dutch DJ collective Cairo Liberation Front and Generation Bass team up for the release of Remix Collection Vol. 1. The 5-track collection features a batch of reworks in the electro chaabi style  — an electronic and hip-hop indebted take on traditional chaabi music that's been burgeoning in Cairo's underground scene post-revolution. The EP offers up new and previously released remixes of Sudanese-born/Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist Sinkane, Amsterdam rap group SBMG, psychedelic San Francisco beatmaker Al Lover, baile funk superstar MC Maromba, and Greece's Polygrains.
