Watch Flex Rabanyan’s Sentimental Music Video For ‘Y.A.G.U (Young Ass Grown Up)’

The visuals for Flex Rabanyan's "Y.A.G.U" are here.

Last year, Flex Rabanyan made a callout to his fans to contribute photos of themselves and their parents for his music video. Well, they clearly came through for the KZN-born rapper.

The music video shows Flex rolling around in his hood as he recites his bars. The photos of different people with their parents intercut some of the shots, which include clips of Flex performing live.

"Y.A.G.U" is the opening song for the young rapper's debut album The Born Free. The song sets the tone for the rest of the album. Flex muses on situations forcing him to grow at a young age over a musically rich instrumental that boasts a mumbling bassline and mellow keys and horns.

He raps:

"This mic is the place to leave my soul on/ When I sweat under pressure, I still roll on/ All the financial struggle nearly broke my fam/ The only bond we had left was that home loan"
