Nigerian MC Ola Dips breaks ground by treating us to the first “rap version” of Adele’s mega hit “Hello.” While the rapper’s cover maintains the same melancholic aura as the original track, his expressive rhymes—rapped mostly in Yoruba and Pidgin—give the song a memorable hip-hop twist.

The 20-year-old rapper, who grew up in Nigeria's Ogun State, lists Olamide, D’Banj, 2face Idibia and 9ice, among others, as his musical influences. His musical connection to his country is made apparent through his introspective lyrics and delivery.
